Pilates has been used successfully since its creation at the beginning of the 20th Century. This mixture of ballet, gymnastics, yoga and breathing control, combines a physical activity with mental control.

 

Highly recommended for back problems, Pilates exercises are equally beneficial for those wanting to tone their bodies, strengthen abdominal and back muscles as well as achieve a greater flexibility over all. Although these exercises can be done in a group,it is better to do them under the guidance of a personal trainer on the Pilates machines.
